Gender Neutral Baby Wishlist

When I first started thinking about putting together our baby registry and wishlist, I was COMPLETLEY overwhelmed! There are so many contraptions, devices, gadgets out there that it’s really difficult to determine what you really need…..especially as a first time mom! So after asking you guys to share your suggestions, and doing a TON of research myself, I feel like I came up with a thoughtful list of items for baby. My goal here was to focus on more quality vs. quantity, investing in pieces that could not only grow with baby but that would last through multiple children (if we are lucky enough to be blessed with more!). I hope this Gender Neutral Baby Wishlist is helpful if you need to buy a gift for an upcoming baby shower or are starting you baby wishlist too! At the bottom of the page I will be sharing more of the suggestions I received, so check that out too if you’re looking for even more great ideas!

GENDER NEUTRAL BABY WISHLIST

  1. Keekaroo Changing Pad - I was a little taken aback at the cost of this changing pad, but I’ve had so many mamas tell me it is worth every penny.  The material is non-slip and impermeable to any fluid, making it super easy to clean!  Plus it doesn’t need any changing pad covers, cutting down on extra laundry.

  2. Swaddle Blankets - I registered for a couple different types of swaddle blankets but loved this option for my summer baby. The muslin material is super soft, and breathable so baby can still be snuggled up without getting too hot.

  3. Haakaa Manual Breast Pump- this was hands down the number one recommendation from you guys if I planned on breastfeeding.  Its a hands-free manual pump that catches the let down on the opposite breast while you’re nursing.  If breastfeeding works out for me, I think this will be really helpful to collect extra milk.

  4. Ergo Omni 360 Baby Carrier - Nathan and I love to spend a lot of time outdoors and go for hikes, so we were looking for a more heavy-duty type carrier and this one had amazing reviews.  I really like that it grows with baby from newborn to toddler, so we will get a ton of use out of it for years to come!

  5. Snoo-  the Snoo was the first item I knew I wanted on my baby wishlist.  It took Nathan a little while to hop on board, but ultimately anything to help us all (baby first and foremost) get more quality sleep is something we were both agreed was important.  Yes, I know it’s a HUGE investment.  But we plan on using it with future babies and the company does offer a 30-day return policy if baby does not take to it.  I will let you know our thoughts once we start using it.

  6. Nuna Pipa Lite Carseat- This was one of the top mentioned carseats from current mamas, and what sold me is that it is SUPER lightweight, made from quality materials,  extremely easy to install and move from car to stroller, AND has a UPF 50+ canopy.

  7. Ubbi Diaper Pail - a diaper pail isn’t a very glamourous wishlist item, but I see MANY a poopy diaper in my future so I wanted to make sure we got something that actually works!  I love the sleek, minimalistic design of this steel pail.  But the best part is you can use any standard trash bag or reusable cloth liner, which equals connivence and money saving in my opinion.

  8. Uppa Baby Vista Stroller - other than the Snoo, this was the one other item I knew I wanted right away.  After doing a TON of research on strollers, Nathan also agreed this would be the best option for our growing family too!  Not only do I love the style, it truly is a gorgeous stroller, but I also love that it can fit multiple little ones so it grows with your baby and family.  The bassinet is something we will use a lot in the beginning, I can’t wait to go on summer walks around the neighborhood with my new little family!

  9. Hatch Baby Rest Sound Machine - a sound machine and nightlight that can be completely controlled by your smartphone?  Yes please!  I think this will be great to sooth baby for nursing and sleeping, and love the idea of the nightlight for late night diaper changes!

  10. Owlet Baby Monitor - as a first-time mom, I’m terrified of something happening to my baby. At night this will give me peace of mind knowing that I can monitor the baby even if they are in their own room once they move to the crib. As Nathan being a nurse, this was his #1 baby wishlist item.

  11. Baby Bjorn Bouncer - this was another highly suggested item, and many of you moms out there said if you invest in a bouncer seat, make it this one!  A lot of you said your baby could spend all day in this thing, and if baby is happy, mama is happy!  Plus I’m going to need to shower at some point right??

  12. Snuggle Me Organic- It was a tie between this and the dock-a-tot as far a portable loungers go.  I decided to go with this one because it was geared more toward newborns, and really seems to hug in around them for a super cozy, comforting place to rest.

I received so many other great suggestions so I wanted to include those as well! I have them broken down by category so its easier for you reference.
